A Personal Message from Jan Marie. Please read this Sep 21, 2016 12:00 am | Jan Marie Caruso Welcome dear loyal customers and new or visiting stampers, You will first notice that there is no “pretty” picture of me.  Yes, that is true, that is my face, today I am revealing my heart to you.  I AM RE LAUNCHING FLOURISHES!  That means I will do what ever is necessary to be all I and Flourishes can be.  That does not mean I can do it alone.  We are putting together a team that will be the successful company I once created and MORE, so much more is on its way. Why am I writing this message,  you may be wondering why.  How does it affect YOU?  Because  Flourishes and I need YOU.  I can have great artists, I can have designers and more, but without you as customers I am nothing.  I am asking you for your support.  Purchase what you can, tell your friends, make cards and let me know personally.  I will post your cards proudly on the Flourishes, Pinterest,  and my own little blog.  I am always so inspired at what you all create.  You make Flourishes shine.  Please stand strong with me and Flourishes.  We can and will deliver,  you have my sincere promise.  I am a lover of hand drawn art and have gone the extra mile to make that always happen.  I am just like you, I live with a wonderful husband of 25 years.  I live in a house just down the street.  I love  sharing visits with friends, a cup of tea,  and I love stamping.  I won’t stop unless you stop and you have always supported both me personally and Flourishes.  Help me  brush off the past and  hold my head up high, for I am not afraid of a storm.  I am a survivor in the very deepest meaning of the word. Please from one stamper to the other, pass the word, visit the blogs, make cards, share with your friends and support Flourishes in every way that you can.  I thank you for listening to me as I pour out my heart to you with my love of Flourishes and all of our customers, no matter who or where or how small or big.  Each is important to me. Lady Gaga performed the National Anthem at the 2016 Super Bowl, and ROCKED IT! 

Carlos Santana, REAL LIVE MUSIC!

Carlos Santana, he of the 1999 hit song, "Smooth," has called out the Super Bowl 50 halftime show, featuring the "Formation" singer alongside Coldplay and Bruno Mars in an open letter to the NFL and CBS.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank you both for including me as a part of your Super Bowl entertainment," he wrote. "I do feel compelled to point out to you that the Halftime Show should have included some of the local iconic bands that the World would have loved to see perform."

Santana was featured in a highlights reel of past Super Bowl entertainment as Chris Martin sang "Fix You." The legendary rocker performed during a pre-game concert at Super Bowl XXXVII…coincidentally the same year Beyoncé headlined the halftime show.

"Bands like Metallica, Steve Miller, Journey and yours truly. We would have rocked the Half Time Show and done the SF Bay Area proud," Santana continued. "This is just an invitation for you to consider iconic bands as part of your Half Time entertainment. Real live music, real live vocals, and give the audience real live chills."

"Thank You Carlos," Journey later chimed in. "And yes we would have all Rocked it !"

There Should have been real live music!

Rest in Peace, "Take It Easy".


Glenn Frey , singer, songwriter, guitarist and a founding member of the Eagles, died Monday. He was 67.

He succumbed to complications from Rheumatoid Arthritis, Acute Ulcerative Colitis and Pneumonia
.

Frey wrote and provided vocals for many of the Eagles’ biggest hits, including “Heartache Tonight,” “Lyin’ Eyes,” “Tequila Sunrise” and “Take It Easy.” He also co-wrote “Hotel California” and “Desperado, ” with Don Henley.

The Eagles won six Grammys and five American Music Awards during its run, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
