Its Polka Time

I wish I was with the The boys and  La Rosita, but they are busy at The National Polka Festival® in Ennis, Texas this weekend.  I want to dance, Its Polka time!

The National Polka Festival® in Ennis, Texas invites everyone to come help celebrate forty-six wonderful years of Czech heritage festivities Friday through Sunday, May 25-27, 2012. Held annually on Memorial Day Weekend, the National Polka Festival® offers an abundance of activities to be enjoyed by the entire family in a small city atmosphere.

The festival kicks off with an opening dance Friday at 7:00 pm,featuring polka music and the King and Queen Dance Contest, where participants and non-participants are encouraged to wear traditional Czech kroj (costumes). At 10:00 on Saturday morning, floats, bands, and colorful costumes will kick-off the downtown festivities. The parade traditionally includes something for visitors of all ages. Enjoy the music of our polka bands riding on decorated floats or the sounds of our award winning Ennis High School Marching Band. The Shriners make their annual appearance, as well as celebrities, public officials, motorcycles, horseback riders, clowns, kids, and seniors! This giant parade twists through historic downtown Ennis and is sure to please.You will experience our traditions, religious customs, dancing, tastes, sights, sounds, and "a little bit of the Czech Lands" throughout historic downtown and at our three spacious air conditioned halls (KJT, KC and Sokol Halls). Enjoy a weekend of polka dancing, Czech foods, and 14 sensational LIVE polka bands including Grammy Award winning Brave Combo. Join us! This crazy puppy

This crazy puppy that belongs to my son needs to go to school and learn how to be calm. I hate getting mad at my animals because they bring me such joy (most of the time). While she is very smart she is still to crazy and way to hardheaded.
Since my son was not home she slept on the sofa in the living room and woke me up at 4:45 am. I thought that maybe she wanted to go outside for a quick pee, No she was lonely and wanted to come into my room and sleep with me or play. Well Sonny my cat did not like that idea at all so here it is near 5 AM and I now have two animals fighting all around me on the bed. Camo, my son's puppy just wants to play and does not understand why the furry kitty does not want to play with her.  So after getting up again for the 3rd time I put both animals outside, hoping to fall back to sleep. No that did not happen, Camo has chew Thu her lease and the door frame and is bouncing on the glass door trying to tell me she is ready to come in! What are we going to do with this DOG, who still is growing and can easily push me down. Someone help!

Christian Women Job Corp at Cornerstone

Congratulations to some new Graduates, from the Christian Women Job Corp at Cornerstone.










 The classes are smaller and condensed into 2 weeks time. I can remember how My class was 8 weeks long haha, how things change right! CWJC is and will always be one of my favorite places.

I used a different kind of envelope, the paper is called Glassine, its Thin, waxy paper that has a shiny surface and Glassine is said to be best used for envelopes.

So What are you doing this Mothers day

So what are you doing this Mother's Day.

Don't know yet,  well I really do not know what I will be doing either. Since my kids still me owe me a birthday dinner I'm sure I know what I want, lol, OH yea a big steak dinner!

My favorite place was called called River Oaks steak house. The building is just sitting there but its been closed for
a while now. I guess the owners grew tired of working it or maybe retired.  I hoping that it was that they wanted to retire and enjoy life, right. If anyone knows why that place closed down please let me know?

So now when the kids ask where do you want to go out to eat I can truly say I don't know!
